using the cummerbund
The Totseat travel highchair's cummerbund is a hugely useful piece of kit on its own!
Of course, there are the purposes for which it was designed:
- Stopping the wee one going through the back of a gappy chair
- Providing additional support, if required, when wrapped around a chair and the baby
However, we've discovered many more clever uses, like:
- Keeping trousers up
- Assisting with a piggyback when you're arms are dead tired and the wee one is exhausted
- Keeping stacked chairs together when moving them
- Wrapping round suitcases for identification when travelling
- Hitching up a broken leg (in a cast), to keep elevated
- Curtain tidy/tie
- Creating a great grip on heavy carrier bags by preventing the handles from digging into your hand
- Tying together the handles of shopping bags in the boot of the car, so they don't fall over (and the food crashes all over the boot!)
- Wrapping around anything like a duvet, or a carpet, before storing
- Strapping the wee one securely onto a public changing table, especially when the ones supplied are invariably broken (like the ones in service stations, etc.)
