Using the cummerbund

Every Totseat travel highchair comes with a cummerbund, the purposes of which are  to prevent your child from falling down, and out, through the back of an open chair; or, to provide additional support and security, when wrapped around a chair and the baby. 

However, over the years, the cummerbund has developed its own fan club, with uses being cited as follows:

  • Keeping trousers up when your belt snaps
  • Assisting with a piggyback 
  • Keeping stacked chairs together (particularly useful in transit)
  • Wrapping around suitcases for identification when travelling
  • Hitching up a broken leg (in a cast), to keep elevated
  • Curtain tidy/tie
  • Creating a soft but strong grip around heavy carrier bags handles
  • Keeping shopping bags upright and together in the trunk/boot of a car
  • Wrapping around duvets, and carpets, for easy storage 
  • Temporary baby wrap when the one on the changing table in the public toilets is missing, or broken
