It all started with Sahar Hashemi's book and long armed sweaters

If you're looking for inspiration to start a business, (which I wasn't), Sahar Hashemi's book 'Anyone can do it' is what you need - now. This realistic, engaging, fantastic book, and endless disasterous lunch experiences is what started this, particular, journey.

Even venturing out for coffee can be a hazard with a baby, and believe me it was. The highchair proferred, if at all, was either filthy, or delivered from the downstair loo (hardly encouraging). My cardigans developed hugely long arms, as they were 'worn' by 'normal' chairs to envelop our baby daughter.  In the end, post one incredibly frustrating lunch ... I cracked ... and cut up my wedding dress to create what became the first Totseat cloth chair harness. Yes, my husband was watching. I think he even handed me the scissors. (We are still married).

So the first Totseat travel highchair was made from my wedding dress and the second from a sheet. Very glamorous.  Many prototypes later, I read Sahar Hashemi's book, at least three times in succession, and determination slowly wormed its way into my being.  Or, to be more realistic, I was more neurotic than ever about safety and determined to make lunching out safe, easy and fun. Safety came first, and it always will, but versatility and style are just as much a part of the Totseat chair harness story.

After 900 - yes 900 - testing experiences on a huge variety of chairs, and the involvement of safety and baby experts up and down the land, our washable, squashable fabric highchair was born.
